The Sermon on the Mount
1. And the Son of the MARKET stood in front of the lectern and spake unto the people, and the people did listen.
2. Then the Son of the MARKET perceived that some of the people were financially challenged,
3. Therefore he took 5 shares of Wal-Mart and 2 of BHP Biliton and distributed them to some members of the crowd.
4. The Son of the MARKET told those without shares to negotiate for the shares as they willed.
5. Thus healthy competition was ensured, and the people did prosper.
Genesis
1. In the beginning there was only the MARKET.
2. But then the MARKET wished to expand, and so began to create.
3. On the first day, the MARKET created the means of production.
4. On the second day, the MARKET created the people who would compete for the ownership of the means of production.
5. On the fourth day, the MARKET created money, so that the people could more easily obtain consumables.
6. On the fifth day, the MARKET created Wall Street.
7. On the sixth day, the MARKET created time zones that the work of the MARKET might continue day and night.
8. On the seventh day, the MARKET did not rest, and in His weariness accidentally created overtime.
9. The MARKET created for his people a capitalist paradise, and the people lived in peace and prosperity and healthy competition for many years.
There ends the manuscript.
Thank you. Now I just have to find the Fall of Man bit, and the Christmas story. And I recall planning Job and Sodom and Gomorrah as well, but I can't seem to find them. Ah well.
