Your Mike angst rules - I truly covet your ability. So much emotion in just a short story where others would take thousands more words and still never convey what you've done here. You almost make me want to take him home and hug him. Almost. This is fantastic writing and the little details, like the repetition of the tattoo's letters, makes it have even greater emotional impact. My only question is why is Mike fooling around on Anna? I mean, I accept that Phe is obviously way hotter than her, but I found myself wondering what it was he needed that he wasn't getting in his marriage. Besides sex. Oh god, I can't even keep a straight face when I'm trying to leave a serious comment. Sorry! lol.

My only question is why is Mike fooling around on Anna? I mean, I accept that Phe is obviously way hotter than her, but I found myself wondering what it was he needed that he wasn't getting in his marriage.

I actually didn't think that through much. O.o
I just sort of based it on Anna being a nice person and all that, but Mike isn't "in love" with her. Not to say that he doesn't care about Anna, he just doesn't see her as a wife as much as he sees her as a friend, I suppose. Yes, that answer seems sufficent enough.

To covet is a sin. Well, if you believe in that sort of thing. :p Thank you very much, deccy. Your words always mean a lot to me.

I TOTALLY wasn't expecting it to be Phoenix! I was wondering the whole time, 'who IS it?'
Anyways this was so awesomely emotional and wonderful. I really enjoyed reading it. The end was just twistedly beautiful.
