Doctor Who: Night Terrors and The Girl Who Waited

Sep 17, 2011 23:14

I've been busy with assignments which is why I didn't get around to posting my thoughts on Night Terrors last week. And seeing as I just finished watching The Girl Who Waited, I'll go ahead and do a double post.

Beware: Spoilers to both Who and A2A ... )

Ooh, see I disliked Night Terrors (didn't make sense, didn't scare me, the kid actor was terrible and sloppy resolution) but LOVED The Girl Who Waited. I hadn't thought about Old Amy/Donna parallels though, that's interesting. When times are unwritten (which Donna's were for her at least), I think it's sadder than actual death in a way.

Also, is that one Benedict Cumberbatch I see in your icon? ♥ My love for that man knows no bounds.

Nice to hear from you :D Yes, it is the very lovely Benedict Cumberbatch, who I have a humongous crush on and whose appeal only grows from playing Sherlock Holmes, who I also have a massive crush on. I swear sometimes I watch Sherlock just to look at him (especially when he was wearing the security guard uniform in The Great Game, oh my).

Yeah, we both seem to drift on and off LJ and collide only occasionally so it's nice to speak to you too! :)

Yes, yes and yes to everything you just said! I went to see Tinker, Taylor, Soldier, Spy yesterday just for him, and while I didn't understand any of the plot, it was so worth it just to gaze at him being very dashing :P
