French class and new iPhone app
I was thinking the other day 'Maybe I would post more if only LJ had an iPhone app ... I know! I'll check the app store!'. Two days later, when I remembered having my bright if delayed idea, I finally got the app and am now testing it. Fingers crossed this works.

Beware: Online PC doctor Scams
I want to send this post out as a warning to everyone else, especially those in Australia. I might be a bit late to the party with this, but, after a quick search on google, apparently phone scammers claiming to fix your computer via remote access is a very common and increasingly sophisticated scam. RIP Diana Wynne Jones
I realise this is coming a little late as Diana Wynne Jones passed away a week ago, but I only found her obituary in the paper today and was very saddened by the news. Happy Lunar New Year Everyone!
So it's the Lunar New Year, and, in celebration, I've put a little Fruits Basket picspam together. It's a bit rough around the edges because I don't know how to use Photoshop, but I'm happy with the result. Having broken most of my Western New Year Resolutions, my new New Year Resolution will be to learn how to use Photoshop.

I've got a blue tongue!
I'm currently taking care of my aunt's dog while she and her family are overseas. The other morning, the dog's going crazy and barking at something in the bushes, so I figured it was the blue-tongue lizard. Sure enough I found it dining on snails and took a picture of it.

Review: The King's Speech
Sometimes I think I have the taste of a 60 year old woman, what with my love of BBC period dramas and biopics. ( I'm still unapologetic about it though, and The King's Speech is a very good movie ... ) -
Tv Tropes and other fandoms
I explained in my last post that I've been AWOL partly because life got in the way. I was going to add that the other thing that got in the way was the awesome wilderness that is tvtropes.org, but I decided that post was getting too long and decided to rave about it separately.
