To help whoever needs it over the angst. I just feel that, after everyone's seen the special tomorrow, this will all seem a little pointless. So I'm going to try and write the third and final part now, as I'm back at school tomorrow.

one quick spoilery question- what happens with regards to mac's dying situation- not in the fic obv, in the special?

Highlight to view: He gets drunk and tells Guy he has 'weeks' to live (the emotional pub scene), Caroline ends up finding out by accident, Guy gets them together, they get married and it ends with Caroline (literally) floating away over the country manner where there wedding is. It is so beautiful. and it contains the line, "When I make love to my wife tonight..." which just KILLED me. But it stops there, with Mac making Guy promise to marry Caroline and look after her when he's gone. It is so sad, but so perfect. And that's about it.

Firstly, thanks for the add! :)
Secondly, I am currently loving this fic, its so adorable, and I love it when somebody writes something that delves further into Mac's thoughts about Caroline - something we rarely get to see! Plus, you write it so well :D
Thirdly, I really don't know how I'm going to cope waiting until tomorrow to see the special - it seems that everyone in the community has seen it, and there are so many links and spoilers around - it's killing me! I'm going to resist though - I must! - and I'm contenting myself by watching the DVD of the entire show so far. I need a fix from somewhere before I go insane!
