New Puppy

I've had him for a few weeks, but just haven't posted anything yet.
This is Dante, he is a husky/rottweiler mix. Dante will be getting his second shot this week, so I will most likely take him to the dog park the following weekend.

This was actually the second day we had him, he's 10 weeks in this one

:O!!! He's lovely! Reminds me of a dog that I wanted back in the shelter in MI I worked at. Keep us posted! :D

Thank you, he's really sweet. He had some puppy friends, but the husky pup Kodi was a little bigger and always knocked Dante down. Dante rolls a lot. So, I'd probably start him out in the little dog area once we can go to the dog park so he doesn't get stomped on by the big dogs.

I'll definitely take more pictures once we start going to the park. Right now we don't have a fenced in yard or many opportunities for him to run around outside.

*nods* Probably a good idea to start in the small dog area. He looks like he'll be a big dog, and would be nice for him to learn how to deal with the small dogs first, and work his way up. :)

He's so cute! Perfect mix of both breeds, too. :3 If you ever want any training tips, feel free to ask. I love the working breeds! ^^

Thank you, since puppy adolescence is a hard time, I'll be sure to keep you abreast on any challenges we may have. I'm really looking forward to being able to take him out (yay vaccinations) since I know he needs tons of socialization and we can only do so much right now.

He took to his kennel fabulously, he only cried the first night, and that is because I didn't put it close enough to the bed. I'm slowly inching it away from the bed, so he gets more secure further away.

Ohhhh!

I love Cole's expression in the pic of them together.

Dante is made of cute and squee.

Cole likes getting his chin licked by Dante, which is pretty cute. I never have my camera nearby when that happens though.

Oh and he's so absolutely plush, I was afraid that he would lose his softness as his puppy coat matured and shed but he's still pretty soft.

The cats do not like their furminator, so I use it on Dante. He'll need a big one in a few months though.
