How do you make friends?

I know it will be easier when I have a car, mobility is a great asset. Has anyone tried anything in particular to meet nice, compatible people?

Honestly, I fail at making friends. Usually they are males that ultimately want to get in my pants (regardless of how sincere and nice they seem at first). If they aren't male, they're virtual... I'm great at making friends online. Car does help though. Good luck !! =)

I'm incredibly social. I have a tenacity to converse with anyone that has the time to do so back. Because I manage to throw myself in many social gathering places, (e.i. concerts, sporting events, conventions, bars) I make many, many acquaintances
