At my office, we take Halloween seriously. We have a costume party in the morning and then the whole damn company goes to starbucks for caffiene in a parade in downtown Clearwater.

( Here is a pic of Jason (co-worker/friend)and I walking down Cleveland street. Guess which ones we are. And there's a close up of Jason lookin' all ninja-like. )

Those turned out awesome. Can't beleive they were just piles of fabric on the floor a few days ago ;)

it was pretty funny 'cause apparently the people I work with don't get the concept of sewing. most of them thought I bought the coats and just painted the clouds on them.

Phil: You made those?! How? With like, a sewing machine?
Me: Um, yeah?

Thanks! Though we lost the company-wide costume contest to a group of guys who rented pimp costumes. Ugh. I'm not surprised, though.

That reminds me of the one year I showed up in work with full head-to-toe geisha outfit, including an actual Japanese kimono, black wig, authentic japanese socks and sandals, and full white face makeup with the tiny red lips. I didn't win a damn thing at the company costume contest. I lost to the saleschick who put on a short school-girl plaid skirt, put her hair in pigtails and came as Britney Spears (plus this lady was 40+ years old). DOH!

exactly. just like the one year I dressed as Medusa - fuckin' wove a wig of snakes and made a toga and lost to some chode who rented a Bud Man contest - and this was many years after Bud Man was relevant in pop culture.
