This was the first weekend that there weren't any trips. I had a pretty good time staying around Haifa. Friday I spend most of the day at the Ground Canyon mall. There were a lot of American and European brands, but there were some Israeli things as well. Whooo, the first half of the first half of my summer Hebrew classes is over. Or more importantly i'm done with the midterm. The test didn't seem to hard, but it was on so few words that even little mistakes will make a big difference, so consequently i have no clue how i did ( Read more... )

For the past few days I've been going on a bunch of tours of Haifa, and going around town with some people and other random stuff like that. We took a tour of the Bahi Gardens which is this gorgeous place in the middle of the mountain with a ton of steps that we walked down. I've also explored the various market places ( Read more... )

Just a quick note right now to let everyone know that I made it to Israel safely. The dorms aren't the best in the world, but I think thats because i'm comparing them to the college dorms/apartment i've had which are both really nice. If i compare it to the place I normally spend my summer (at camp) then it is a step above that. I've got my own ( Read more... )

I'm back at home for about two weeks before I leave for Israel. Summer school ended last week. This was the first year that I took summer classes and I really liked them. I've almost recovered from the loss of sleep of last week, so i can start all over this week by going in early tomorrow at 6am. Last Wednesday the kids i watch parents went to a concert so they didn't get home until around midnight. Then Friday the mom went out of town so i got to the house at 5:30am.
