We have storms, flood and tornado alerts, and to add to the downhill spiral of this day a huge bolt of lightning and a resounding crash just brought my TV viewing in the living room to an abrubt end. I'll be calling Time Warner for service, but I have a sickening feeling that my TV is fried. Had to watch Boston Legal in the bedroom on the puny ( Read more... )

Eeeek, glad you are ok after those bolts of lightning though.
TV is replaceable, Ebuzz isn't EEK :B

:) I'm surprised my PC survived. Ended up turning it off until the lightning activity stopped just to be safe. Still can't figure out why the damage took such a wierd path through the house. Mother Nature was in a crappy mood last night for sure.

Yuck. Sorry about your TV and bed. :( Same thing happened to me on July 4th a couple of years ago. Killed my Tivo and my computer. DEAD. Never to be revived.

I did manage to revive the microwave, but the expensive stuff is DOA. Apparently the surge suppessors didn't. When I got ready to call Select Comfort about the bed, I found out my phones are dead as well. All this right before my Chicago trip, to which every last penny has been dedicated. *whine*

I guess I'm glad I wasn't standing in the back yard with a rake in my hand and my dog by my side. :P
