For the benefit of Shabby Apple and my general love of any kind of food/art combo, I am posting the not-as-great-as-Dechi's-date-cake-but-almost combo of fig and thyme jam and the amazing crust for the rustic tartletts I've been making all summer since they hit the mill at Smitten Kitchen last month. Mmmmm boy
