and so it winds down, the embers are left to glow under the powdery ash, and the cold wind of the night is now much more noticeable. another year gone, another being born. may our Lady and Lord bless us all with gifts of health and prosperity.

Any news from our friend? I hope her surgery went well, she's been heavy on my mind, and I'm sending her lots of fast-healing joo joo!!

she is home and resting comfortably. The surgery was uneventful, with the only snafu being the traffic trying to get home form the hospital. Hubby has her set up in bed with the lap top. she says she's sore, but no more than was expected, and has both hubby and her mini-me as nurses.
