I finally finished reading Howl's Moving Castle, and I can't help feeling like I'm back in middle school, having just finished a book my mom had ordered off the Scholastic Book Club. I guess it shouldn't be much of a surprise given the author's writing style and intended readership, but it's just one of those books that reminds you a certain time

Hey fool don't knock the book orders. Getting those book order papers once a month was one of the highlights of Elementary School.

Good sir, I believe you have mistaken my reference to the Scholastic Book Club as an insult. In all truth, I think my Mom's the reason my fifth grade class was able to upgrade from an Apple IIGS to a Macintosh
