It's a known fact stores will usually receive their shipments of high-interest titles (games, DVDs, books, etc.) prior to their "street date." Also known: Dan is a poopie head.
I've never been a fan of Flying V (or similar designed) guitars, and the same with the Shredder design, which has been floating around eBay since people found out how kickass the first GH was. (Dude, have you, like, even finished it?)
The amp does interest me, but then it begs the question, why go so far out of your way to make it seem like you're playing the guitar, without actually playing the guitar? (Plus, it won't ship until the 27th or so; what's up with that?) The reason I ordered off RedOctane's site was because I could be guaranteed a copy (I grabbed the last of three copies of Guitar Hero from Best Buy the day it came out), get a second controller (really, numbers two and three, since I'll try to custom paint my original) and -free- guitar bag all at the same time.
Wait, custom paint and gig bag? What was I saying about the amp? Shit.
At least with an amp you could blast "Carry On Wayward Son" while you're kicking that song's ass. The speakers on the television just don't do it justice.
Basically use it to prevent me from tripping over the damn guitars and breaking them/my neck. I've got a tiny room, and at least with the bag, I can keep the guitars safe (it holds two) and tucked in my closet or something, without the cords getting all messed up.
Dude, my television doesn't do the VISUALS on a music-based game justice. I've got a Sharp brand, 13" tube TV. Yes, this is the same TV I'm playing FFXII on. I'd buy a new one, except I'm still paying off my laptop (yay for free wifi!) and I need to fucking move out! I know Alison wants to stay with her family, but should you guys ever move to California and find yourselves in need of a roommate, hook an Asian brotha up. Or, you know, buy me a better TV.
xD I almost forgot... as for playing GHII... my TV only has mono audio output.

You could've just gone to the store and gotten it much faster. My work got it last week and we had it sitting in the back.
I'm tempted to get one of these specialty guitars, though Wii is more of a priority right now since I need to save money so I can have money.
