So I just got back from seeing the new Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles movie, and I gotta tell you, that was $10 I didn't mind spending.

It's been fourteen years - can you believe fourteen whole freankin' years?! - since TMNT III came out and left many a fan either wanting of something, well, better, or completely disenfranchised. Of course I liked ( Read more... )

You wouldn't want the originally planned Ghostbusters III. It was a retarded plot where they go to hell and fight demons and crap, and it was just horrible.

Are you talking about the Samhein script that I think Dan Aykroyd had worked up? Or was it not him, but some fresh-from-film-school producer? Something like that...

In any case, it would be a pretty sad movie since everyone got fat. Especially Harold Ramis. He's still a funny bastard.

Fat, balding, and graying horribly. I don't think it would work, since the time has come and gone for a new Ghostbusters sequel. And yes, it's the one Dan Aykroyd was trying to pimp out. On top of all that, it would just bother the hell out of me if it's going to be an animated movie. Stuff like Ninja Turtles is fine to jump around between live-action and animation because you can't take a walking, talking 5-foot turtle as seriously as you would a gang of four people in a dark comedy about catching ghosts.
