Plagiarized?

Aparently I've finally lost my plagiarism-cherry?
According to bloodshedbaby a fic of mine (still don't know which but it's probably touch of jealousy) has been plagiarized.
I'm not too angry, especially since I haven't seen the site where it's posted, I've asked bloodshedbaby for the link.
Anyway, if anyone knows anything about this, would you please let me know?

Here's the email that spuffynoelle sent me regarding it (and how I became involved)

I used to read Sweet Valley fanfiction a few years ago when I read the books (if you aren't familiar, it's a young adult paperback series). Anyway, I noticed a while back that one of the male characters, Jeremy, who has black hair and is completely straight-laced was being turned into Spike by one or two authors. Jeremy was now written as having the spikey gelled hair and sporting a new duster. I thought, at the time that the two authors (Spuffy and SV) were the same person, using different names on the different sites. I know, stupid of me to assume but I really didn't hear of people plagiarising before so I had naive thoughts

I really don't get why people bother to steal fanfic. Are they really so uncreative that they can't write anything of their own?
