This is part of why my extensive journal writing has really paid off for me. Vivid descriptions of events and emotions read at a later time act as that valuable booster shot of Why-I-Banned-Those-People or Those-Things. I believe my proclivity for describing my state in moments of pain have kept me off both drugs and toxic exes!

that works for me sometimes, but often when I read my old writings I just find them to be overly dramatic, silly even. maybe my emotional memory is just that faulty.
