I'm really gonna be sad to see this series go, but hopefully you'll still be writing for this pairing because you capture them so well. I love the fact that Gene doesn't always believe Sam but he does trust him, it's there in canon and portrayed so beautifully in this chapter. There's so much about this series, let alone this chapter that is great. Just... seriously, well done and i want to read the next chapter but i don't want it to end so that shows your talents as a writer. Wow.

This series definitely won't be my last LoM fic so don't worry about that! The last chapter will be coming soon - I hope you enjoy it. I'm particularly glad that you liked my portrayal of Gene's suspicions about Sam. It's something that's done so cleverly and subtley in canon, so was hard to get across in the same way. Hopefully I succeeded though!

It doesn't seem to matter what time of day or night (however shattered I am) I always get a little 'buzz' off of seeing you've updated...I can't believe it's the final part coming up.....::cries::
The characterizations in this piece have been spot on *perfect* and I'm gonna miss knowing that there's definitely a fic out there that I can melt into and be completely convinced of everything that's happening.
King & Sam facing off and Sam trying to talk him down, just brilliantly intense, it had me litterally on the edge of my seat.
*Does a little dance* Morgan's dead (that sounds so twisted but hey, I embrace my inner freak)..
I was going to say 'I can't wait for the next part' but when it gets here, it'll all be over and I'll be all disapointed,lol. So, I can wait, I can wait *convinces herself* XD

Bloody hell this just keeps getting better and better, can't wait for the last part, can't wait to see what happens next.

Loved the following realisation: He belonged here, however he had come to be here, whether he was Sam Tyler or Sam Williams or the bleeding Doctor with his TARDIS parked around the corner. And the way you expressed this makes his feelings and complete acceptance so clear.

The dialogue is spot on and the way you mix it, characteristion, description and plot is fabulous.

I'm glad you liked Sam's realisation - it's difficult, because in my head he knows that he's happy but he's still got that detective's curiosity in him and that desire for answers (some of which we might get in the final part...)Thank you so much for reading and commenting

Yep, Morgan's gone. He was the real villain in this whole thing, though his hands were technically clean of most of the crimes. There is one more chapter, a kind of conclusion. Thanks for reading!

Thanks! I've deliberately left the extent of Gene's suspicions about Sam's slight craziness ambiguous, just as it is in canon. I don't know if that will change in the final chapter... Glad you're enjoying it!
