Okay, so after my little rant below, I felt I had to write the Gene/Sam scene that I though the final episode demanded. It is also born out of the fact that I thought Gene's reaction to Ray's revelation was not at all as shocked as I exepected. So here it is.

Thank you very much - I was worried that they were both a bit too mushy to be in character, so I'm glad you think I got it right!

Really great - it was strongly in my head that this scene needed to happen too. I loved the way you weaved some canon through it, and particularly the fact that some of the things Gene has said (You could go back any time you wanted etc) show that Gene already knew. Which I believe, as much as I believe anything in this confused twisted world!

I don't really know where the idea that Gene knew all along came from. It kind of just popped up and I ran with it, manipulating little bits of canon as I went and in the end I just liked it as a theory, so I'm glad you did too!
