You are given the power to kill people simply by thinking of their deaths and twice repeating the word “good-bye.” People would die a natural death and no one would suspect you. Are there situations in which you would use this power?
Yes, there are.

If you can imagine yourself killing someone indirectly, could you still see yourself doing so if you had to look into the person's eyes and stab the person to death? Have you ever genuinely wanted to kill someone, or wished someone dead?
Yes, I could, because I would never just kill someone frivolously. There would be a reason. They would have to be the worst of the worst kind of human being. Think..the kind of people Dexter would off. They would be depraved people who either imminently threatened myself or another innocent human being. I would never just kill someone even indirectly just for kicks.

If you were able to live to the age of ninety and retain either the body or the mind of a thirty year old for the last sixty years of your life, which would you choose?
I would have to say the body because while aging generally denotes some mental deterioration, I have known some sharp old folk! With a younger body and hopefully a fairly well-preserved mind, I would enjoy my later years more than with an aged body and a young mind. Besides, if my mindset was that of a 30 year old, I doubt many real 30 year olds would find me attractive at 90, lol.

What would constitute a “perfect” evening for you?
A perfect evening consists of the freedom and capability to do whatever I want in any particular evening physically and financially.

Would you rather be extremely successful professionally and have a tolerable yet unexciting private life, or have an extremely happy private life and only a tolerable and uninspiring professional life?
Extremely happy private life pls.

Since so many place great emphasis on a happy private life, why do people often wind up putting more energy into their professional lives? If you feel your private life is more important to you, do your priorities support this? Are you simply unwilling to admit that work is more important? Do you use work as a substitute? Do you hope professional success will somehow magically lead to personal happiness?
I think because in the society we live in, one supports the other. The fact that you need money to do anything and survival in modern societies depends on it makes the emphasis on work normal. I think almost everyone would love to not to have to work and focus on having a happy life without it, however, that's just not the reality of things. I do feel my private life is more important, and I support that in the long run even if not in the short run. I want to make money, get out of debt, and be able to work at what I want so that in the future, I can focus more on my personal life and not have to struggle to reconcile the two so much. I do hope personal success will lead to a happier personal life, but I do not by any means think it's magic. It's a lot of hard work and perseverance trying to financially stabilise yourself so that you can focus on other things. I have OFTEN considered dropping out of society altogether and pursuing something of an Amish-style etc. kind of lifestyle, and who knows? Maybe I'll do it someday. I think I could be happy that way, too, but I also like a lot of what modernity has to offer.

Whom do you admire the most? In what way does that person inspire you?
The closest might be my mother for going back to college and pursuing her dreams and being able to put forth the focus and determination to start getting her body healthier after so many years of struggling. She can surprise me even after all these years. She's done just about everything for her kids and would do so again in a heartbeat. I think she's an excellent mother, and I admire that I suppose. I wouldn't change how she raised me for the world even if at times I wasn't very happy with it. As I've gotten older, I think she handled the transition in our relationship excellently, and I hope to be able to do the same with my kids when I have them.

If at birth you could select the profession your child would eventually pursue, would you do so?
No.

Would you be willing to be extremely ugly physically if it meant you would live for 1,000 years at any physical age you choose?
Yes.

Do you find anything disturbing about immortality? What age seems ideal to you?'>How much are you affected by a person's physical appearance? How would it change your life if something happened to maker you less attractive than you are now?
Do you find anything disturbing about immortality? What age seems ideal to you?
I think as much as I hate to admit it, I a greatly affected by people's appearances. Whether it's minor mental stereotypal notes I make when I see someone for the first time or an initial reluctance to reach out to someone with grotesque features and being awkward in doing so, I think it's definitely there. I do, nonetheless, make the effort to get past it quickly. If I were to be uglier than I am now, I think I would become more obviously and extremely depressed. I already am displeased with my image of myself, and as much as I try to focus on the positives, I think if it were worse, it would become an impossible task.
I do not find anything disturbing about immortality, and as I know most of you know by now, I would absolutely love to be immortal. Obviously, MY ideal age is infinite, but I SUPPOSE as far as what age is an ideal age to be I'd say somewhere between 18-25.

If you could wake up tomorrow having gained one ability or quality, what would it be?
I would want the ability to have other people see me as I see myself in my dreams at will.

You have the chance to meet someone with whom you can have the most satisfying love imaginable - the stuff of dreams. Sadly, you know that in six months the person will die. Knowing the pain that will follow, would you still want to meet the person and fall in love? What if you knew your lover would not die, but instead would betray you?
Partially because of the whole immortality thing I am minorly obsessed with, I have always had it in the back of my mind that more than likely, whoever I’d be with would not have the same interest in immortality and would eventually die. Therefore, yes, I would still go through with the relationship if the person was going to die. Better once than never, or so they say. The betrayal part…it depends on the kind of betrayal really. I assume this refers to cheating, but there’s many other kinds of betrayal. If it were cheating, sure, I’d still go through with it. Anything else would depend on the circumstance of betrayal really…

In love, is intensity or permanence more important to you? How much do you expect from someone who loves you? What would make you feel betrayed by your mate - indifference? Dishonesty? Infidelity?
As far as what would make me feel betrayed - attempted murder, using my creative works for their own benefit in a shady way, anything where they would confidential information about me in any way, lying about himself and just general dishonesty, and especially (gods forbid) ever hurting any of my future children in any way. Maybe I’m jaded, but I expect infidelity. It surprises me when there ISN’T infidelity. I think it speaks of the world I grew up in to an extent. I don’t think I’d feel betrayed so much as disappointed.

If you knew of a way to use your estate, following your death, to greatly benefit humanity, would you do it and leave only a minimal amount to your family
Yes.
