Changsun looked in the mirror and winced. There was a bruise covering his left cheek, giving him the appearance of a Dalmatian. In every way he was a free man. He had money, fame, he could get any girl he wanted. His looks would make any girl fall for him and his voice was divine. But for every way he was free there was a reason why he wasn’t.
He wasn’t human in the first place.
In a world where there is an actual line between those worthy of joy and love and those who are not, there is no such thing as freedom. In a world where some children are born as slaves, there is no real joy. In a world where tears fall more often then rain, death is something to look forward to.
