This journal is a "friends"-only space. This post provides a method for those outside to communicate, should they wish to.
The initial crop of "friends" has been largely arbitrarily-selected. If anyone wishes to be removed, please say so here and I will comply.

I'm sure I'm speaking for many when I say people would be happier to communicate with you if they had any idea who you might be.

I appreciate that some people are curious, and that others find the anonymous aspect of this journal uncomfortable. I have updated the userinfo page to say this, but I would rather that people do not know my identity --- I don't see that it matters for the intended purpose of this space, and from my perspective it greatly hinders what I'd like to do.

I will de-"friend" anyone who asks. If the guessing-games continue I may well scrap the whole thing.

Then you may as well stop now.

The problem is that most people use friends-only without a custom group a lot of the time, so really you could be anybody, which makes friending you back a rather difficult option.

If you want to remain anonymous, that's fine by me.

Well, you've roused my curiousity, and I'm a big fan of stretching one's anonymous muscle, so I'd like to stay on :)

I'm happy to stay on; but I'm not happy with friending you back without knowing who you are. Whilst much of my LJ is public, I like to know who it is that's reading the stuff that I lock friends-only, & I can't be bothered with custom friends groups. If that's a problem, feel free to remove me.

I have similar feelings; I don't mind being "friended" by someone, as I realise this is your way of saying you don't mind me reading your friends-only posts.
I won't be adding you to my own friends list, as I feel a bit wierd about an anonymous person reading my friends-only posts. However I believe this is not a problem for you, if this journal is only for your output.
I wonder if you are even someone who I know and is already on my friends list under a known-name, but I don't expect you to confirm or deny it.

I will be interested to see what you have to say that cannot be said via an attributable source.

I'm happy to stay on but I won't friend you back.
