BY the time he returned home, he had no kittens. None. There were two he still had to deliver, but he'd promised them to people, so they could stick around a little longer. Jack stomped the snow off his boots and stripped off his winter wear by the door before he wandered over and joined Logan.

"Whatcha reading?" he asked, settling his cold body next to the younger man's warm skin.

Logan shivered a little, the other man making it feel like someone had dumped a bucket of ice in what had been a warm bed.

"One of your poetry books," he replied, shifting closer even though Jack was still cold. Handing the book over, he wormed his way under Jack's arm and held on as he tried to snare a little of his warmth.

"Mmm, you're warm," he purred, settling in closer and looking at the pages Logan had been reading.
