Jack turned his head with a look of shock on his face. It always caught him off guard when Logan asked things like that.
"I don't know," he replied, trying to dodge any deeper information. Logna knew Jack's more monstrous side, but it didn't mean he wanted to tell the younger man everything.
"They've all been pretty bad. I mean, the person wound up dead. Why does it matter how?"
"It matters. It matters because how you did it shows how into it you were. I mean, if it was quick and painless, then it was merciful in a way, right? but if it was slow..."
He trailed off a little and then cleared his throat. "I want to see you like that. At your darkest- at your worst. I want to see that part of you again. Not just a little, but all of it. All the way through. ...It could be like a game. You could treat me like you treated them, except you wouldn't really kill me at the end, and everything would be okay. ...I want to know what it's like to be on the other side of that part of you. I want to know you every way I can, Jack."
"Logan, you said you wouldn't ask," he replied, his voice thick with nerves. He was honestly afraid to let Logan see just how far he could go-- how cruel he could be.
"I'd hurt you. Really hurt you. It...a lot of the time it wasn't fast. And it was never painless. I don't know why you want to know that shit about me."
But it wasn't a no. He had the hardest time telling Logan no outright.
"Because I love you, and I need to know," Logan replied simply. "Wouldn't you need to know if you were me? I'm not afraid Jack, and if you're worried it'll scare me off, you couldn't be more wrong."
