Wow! I'm behind on my every-third month update (yet, surprisingly on the same schedule). Mayhaps, this is because I updated three times in September.
I am inspired by your post for two reasons. Congratulations on proving to yourself that you can rise to the challenge, and for recognizing that you can bound over the walls you had unknowingly brick-lay for yourself. Secondly, that last part made me laugh - let it be known that I am laughing *with* you, uh-huh.
You did miss a great new year's party, but it sounds like yours was quite memorable. Landmark, eh? What madness drove you in there?
The House of Squid partay drew a decent crowd. Surprisingly, zero were from the days of Fresno. It was an interesting mix of fencers, a few Blaqua people, and co-workers past and present. There were also zero airborne noisemakers.

You mustn't mock the Landmark! They were the only place not charging a cover just to get in the door, and for that reason alone, as there is no other, should be immune from the mocking.
I'm surprised that none of the Fresno folk came up for the squid party. I wonder if any of the others suffered the same tragic consequences as I.
I'm bummed I didn't get to ring in the new year with you two monkeys. Something tells me, perhaps it's the lingering voice of my little brown friend, that I could not have escaped the new year poo. My only comfort is in knowing that at least I didn't track him into your house. So, I'm a hero, really. I took a poo to the shoe for you guys!!!
