I actually went to the September 22, 1995 concert in Camden. It was very cool, but a lot of people left halfway through because they were only there to see NIN.

Boo!I can't imagine leaving in the middle. I mean, the only way that it could have been more amazing if Garbage had also played that night. I love the mix, Crushingly Close.

I understand why Bowie doesn't really perform anymore but it is a shame. Still I am envious that you saw the concert.

I think I've gotten to see Bowie in concert 5 times. The first time was back in 1991 when he was with Tin Machine. The Outside tour with NIN, My "sister" and I went to see him at the Electric Factory in 1997, right after I had my daughter. (I feel so old!) That was one of my favorite concerts because we were close enough to the stage to see his toes. I have no idea why that stands out to me. The Area 2 Tour was my favorite overall concert experience, even though I had to go alone because all of my friends were off doing something else :( And the funniest concert was the Reality Tour. Polyphonic Spree was the opening act, and I don't think Bowie knew what to make of them. He also mixed up the words to All The Young Dudes, and had to start over. That made him seem more real and human to me.

I become slightly frustrated that it seems like all of the bands that I love are either not touring, touring in other countries or are resting. And yet Kat Perry and Justin Bieber are always out and about it seems. Gah, frustration!
