Wow. I haven't been to Disney in decades (literally). I'm the kind of nerd who liked EPCOT. Space Mountain was fun, though.

I like Epcot a lot too - between the Land and the World Showcase, simple awesome!!

The new one - Kilimanjaro at Animal Kingdom was a blast - so was the Rockin' Rollercoaster at the Movie Theme park (it's not longer sponsored by MGM so... it's kinda nameless right now)

gotta go back - I love it there

thanks ann - my family loves DW - I highly recommend the 'in the park' experience even if it can get pricey but damn it's worth it IMHO

I didn't even know there was so much to see and do there! Great photos - I love how you snapped a picture of all the meals, too. *g* And do they make that pumpkin (?) grow into a Mickey Mouse shape?

Hey Maxi! sorry it has taken me so long to get back with you.

And yes, Disney has tons to do! So much to see. Epcot is my favorite (the Wilderness Park is pretty cool too)
And yeah, the mold pumpkins in the shape of Mickey's head. They also do cucumbers in that shape so when they slice them they get little Mickey heads. Those pics were taken in a 'behind the scenes' tour of the Land in Epcot. They do a lot of research back there in alternative growing methods. Most of what they do isn't for factory type production but small scale stuff.

As for the pics of the meals - it's kind of a family tradition that my brother and his wife started. We are a foodie family!

No worries. :)

That's pretty cool. I like the idea of a Mickey head cucumber. I didn't know Disney did something like research in alternative growing methods, but I hope it's something useful and not just how to make everything Mickey-head-shaped. ;)

I'm all for it! I'm all about food, too.

they do a lot with hydroponics

but this last time (Feb08) they actually admitted it isn't feasible for large scale growing - was I went on this same tour in Jan01 they were hoping for it to be viable for production use.
