I can surf at work if we aren't swamped with calls.

Today, however, I am home. Yay for days off with no injuries of surgeries to recover from!

ah, I refrain from fandom at work - the gov't discloses it can and will tract anything you do on their computers...

and yes - days off rock - I just wish I got to actually pick mine

I have a huge ass blister

And this is why at first I thought you had a blister on your ass, and why I thought "There is NO WAY IN HELL I'm clicking on that picture."

Anyway, that does suck massively. Hope you (and your car) recover soon.

Did you try Zipcar in DC?

ahhhh - I guess I should have typed 'huge-ass' blister...

the last 24 hours have been such a learning experience!

alas, I did look into Zipcar, but the closest one to my house is 15 miles away. Although I work downtown I live in suburban Maryland, so my biggest issue is getting the 15 miles to the Metro station.

Thanks for the good thoughts. and I will be fine, just need to get into shape - no one should hurt so bad after a little 6 mile walk...

As for the car... I have to evaluate whether it is worth dumping another grand into a 100k car (if this original garage can't get it to function properly)

Pippin the Honda Civic is a stick.

And now I'm kinda terrified that his clutch will randomly crap out some day when I least expect it *paranoia*

Heal feet! HEAL!!!

On a different note though, why were you in Crofton? I'm out there almost every week. And, yea, unfortunately Bowie and Crofton are not sidebyside like most maps make them look like they are.

I live in Crofton but work in downtown DC

I have owned sticks since 1990 - and this is the first that ever has been a problem/issue (my first stick was a Civic)

I can live with them breaking once - it's the ineptitude of the garage that is killing me and pissing me off

Wow, bad week for sure, and that blister looks nasty. I hope your car will be fine after the next repair round. But you rule for driving stick shift!

I'm sure it will be fine - the foot that is and the car eventually...

and driving a stick is about the only way I want to handle one!

;)
