Posto in Davis is absolutely not overhyped. The food is very, very good, and the wine list is pretty awesome. Tripe and calamari in particular were fantastic. Long wait, no reservations, so go either early or late. The neighborhood should be happy to have them ( Read more... )

Posto is the ex-Carberry's / Boloco / Green Tomato space on Elm.

Russell House is the ex-Finagle / Z-Square space that's right in the heart of the square, on JFK.

The wait at Posto at 7:15 on Sunday night was nearly an hour. Not sure I'll ever get in, at that rate.

Yup, that's the peak time. Go at 5 or 9. We went at 7.30, the wait was an hour, but by 9 or so there were definitely free tables.
