wow, this makes me realize just how long it's been since i lived there. i've heard of exactly one of those places.

i admit the main culinary things i miss about seattle are ubiquitous cheap good thai (which may be passe now for all i know) and the west-coast sushi (a quick check reveals that my old favorite chef shiro-san still has his place in belltown though....)

That bakery sounds good. We have been in the Seattle area for a year and I feel like we have barely started on all the tasty places - mostly because some of them are so good we keep going back instead of trying new things. Glad you enjoyed your visit and got a chance to meet up with sandmantv.
