Birthday thank-yous

Mar 01, 2010 16:28

This entry post is more like an overall summary of how I celebrated my birthday with various groups of friends :) and thank-yous that I wanna express.

Had T.G.I. Fridays with Yanyan and Linlin. HAHAHA! Okay okay, Linisha is probably gonna whack me for calling her that. So anyway, rather disappointing meal because of the poor quality of food. I ordered Dragonfire Chicken, which taste exactly like yusheng because of the citrus orange as the toppings. And the chicken, seriously, tough like what, leather? Ugh. And so darn dry. Watched Valentine's Day which is alright I guess? Hmm hilarious show but there's something lacking in the show. Actings were great! Slacked at Ice Rock with a sinful treat of Choc O Bloc (which I ended up feeling guilty about it and went for exercise the next morning). Thanks for the Action 4 camera! :D Refresh my interest in film photography. I'm so hype to see the result of it! Click click clickity away!

Met with the ss peeps (Yockyock, Mingming and Minmin. Okay I think something's wrong with my brain tonight. Pardon my lameness. Damn hungrrrrrrryyy...) to have lunch at Tampopo. Weird restaurant name. But the ramen makes me think about it every now and then after I ate it. *salivates like some poor hungry dog who hasn't eaten for days* But the spiciness of the ramen wasn't spicy at all. Had to add like mountains of chilli oil and chilli powder to spice it to my level of shiok spiciness. Okay mountains is rather exaggerating. But anyway, I enjoyed it thoroughly and I'm salivating in my mouth right now. I'm super tempted to try Ajisen Ramen right now since Ah Ming say it's better than Tampopo's. Thanks for the planner and cake! :D (although the cake celebration was at a rather odd place, but definitely memorable.)

Oh yeah, talking about food, my food expedition of trying out various culture of cuisine with the other two muskeeters is in plans. Yanyan wanna try Russiaaoon but apparently there isn't much option. So Linlin we're going for Swiss alright? I found one rather suitable eatery :D So save up!

So this year, girlfriends decided to surprise me at TM open arena. Okay, to be honest, I was already anticipating it but I was still slightly surprised (Happy HT? Heh!) because I was wondering when is the surprise gonna come. I love the presents! I'm a sucker for anything that is handmade/draw/sew, okay you get the point. I feel so retarded chuckling to myself at the lameness, but I loooikeee! :D The bag's great! Nice texture to touch though rather big, I don't know when I'm gonna use it since I've already have quite a number of bags. Hmm, but still would come in handy in the future I'm sure :) Oh yes, nice chocolate cake as well. Nom nom nom! Oh, and I was happy that I could snap pictures using that Action4! I'm really afraid that it is unable to capture pictures well indoors, so when I'm outdoor, snapping madness!
Eh but I want my 1 h 48 mins back after watching Dear John. Ohemgeeeee... I've watched so many shows before that I thought was boring enough, but Dear John just beats them all. Okay not really, since I watched this musical/opera film and was almost on par. But it's musical/opera film comparing with a romance film! Acting wise I thought was all alright, but the storyline was really... . . . . . . . I didn't feel it was heartwrenching either. Uh honestly, Nicholas Sparks's romance isn't really like what I imagine. But DPDP, different people, different perspective.

Oh and I got a book on astrology/horoscope for 2010 from my cousin (lol again every year).

So overall, many thanks and appreciation to everyone who remembered my birthday, wished me, celebrated with me and the presents. Thank you all for being with me for my 19th birthday. You guys just make my life filled with love, companionship and joy :)
