Tomoka waited outside patiently all dolled up in a a few warm layers underneath her stylish pastel pink parka with a fluffy white scarf. Her bottom half was kept warm by her matching boots and leggings even though she also had on a skirt. The cold normally went right through her to it was better to be safe than sorry; but of course she couldn't give up looking good for that either.
She had only met the Night Class boy a few times but each one had been such an amusing experience it was only natural for her to jump at the idea of seeing him again. After all the last time they caught each other she had seen quite the other side to him. She had been wanting a trip into town to get an early look around at the shops too. 'Tis the season of shopping; and one of her favorites of course~
Liliadent hurried along, smoothing down his bright red Santa skirt. The white trimming was fluffy and soft as was the trimming on his boots. The Santa hat sat on his blond hair. He knew it wasn’t ladylike to rush, but the Christmas shopping season waited for no man. He raised a hand as he approached, his voice pitched a little higher, a proof that at the moment, he was not Liliadent Krauser the vampire, but Lili, the pretty girl. “Tomo-chan!” He called out, waving his hand in the air as he approached his cute red purse dangling from one arm. “There you are. Did I make you be waiting to very long?” His Japanese was thickly accented and he stumbled a bit with the words, but as a girl, it just made him that much cuter.
"Lili~" Tomoka cheered as he appeared, or maybe it was more appropriate to call him she. Either way she adored the boy for his quirky habit of crossdressing. (And was a bit jealous at the same time for how cute of a girl he made.) But he was such a great shopping and dress up partner she was willing to look past any meager jealousy. "I hardly waited at all." she smiled, a sweet little lie as her cheeks were a bit chilled already but she wasn't about to worry the boy over it. After all he had arrived in such a cute outfit with matching accessories and all.
"Are you ready to go, cutie?" she giggled holding out her hand for his.
Lili smiled, her lips kissed with the lightest pink lip gloss. It suited her. She never wore much makeup. She didn’t need it. And even as a boy, Liliadent still sometimes would sneak on the pink pearl gloss. He thought it might look good on Tomo too. He might even take her and buy some for her as a thank you for this trip.
“I am being glad that you did not, ja?” she giggled, putting her hand in front of her mouth so that she could hide her small fangs. It wouldn’t do for Liliadent’s best gal-pal to find out her other little truth. “And you look adorable as well. You just have to tell me sometime, where you did get this wonderful jacket.” The word actually came out wunderbal. She nodded again, that butt length blonde hair bobbing as she did. “Ja. I am being more than ready. Let us be finding the most perfect and great tree to be planting.” The vampire took her hand without hesitation, not caring what anyone thought about girls holding hands. It was perfectly fine in his country.
"Only if you tell me about your outfit as well." she smiled brightly, squeezing his hand a little for warmth. It was also another feature the boy couldn't hide too well in his feminine disguise, not that he'd really need to. No other girl would be daring enough to grab his hand out of nowhere like Tomoka did after all. "Let's get going then!" she cheered and began to lead him along. "I'm sure we'll get the best tree there is with the both of us looking together." she winked up at him, her pigtails bobbing as they walked along.
Like Tomoka, Lili had the same sway to his hips. He was sure that to anyone looking, they would be just two high school girls walking to do some holiday shopping. He let his fingers tread into hers and could feel their arms lightly swing back and forth as they went out of the gates and towards the city. “I got it in a little shop in my home town.” He ignored. He liked talking about his home in Germany. He missed it a little, but it was a good thing he was here. He was able to start over again. He was…But he was still falling back on Lili anyway. He still needed her. She was safe. She was familiar. “Maybe we can be doing other shopping too, yes? They have many great cute shops in town. We can window shop.” And see if they could make all the boys in the village fall over their own two feet.
"How quaint." she didn't say much more as he hadn't seemed like he wished to talk about home much since she met him. Everyone had their reasons one way or another, she wasn't about to pry. "Oh Lili, have I told you lately how much I love you~?" Tomoka mused merrily as the two nearly skipped into the main square. She couldn't have found a better shopping partner. The poor girl nearly had to drag An and Sakuno out together for shopping and even then the two were poor sports about dressing up most of the time. As much as Tomoka loved showing off in clothes she wanted to buy it was more fun to dress up friends. But Lili was all too willing to take part in all the funs of shopping and girly things. It was like a dream come true; aside from the fact that he was a he, but she didn't mind much. A girlfriend was a girlfriend, even if born a boy~
He nodded and laughed again. It was so nice. He was glad he had found a friend who understood him, even a little. The vampires back at home had had problems with the differences between Lili and Liliadent. They didn’t get that he was the same person, no matter what. So far, Tomo had treated his boy side and his girl side the same. It was really nice indeed. She was a good human and he was looking forward to telling the European purebloods about the good hearted human girl he had met. He pulled her with him gently, never getting too far ahead.
“Look Tomo. It is so very pretty. All of the decorations.” They were everywhere. In the windows and in the shops. It was nice. It made him think about home. “We should get candies!” He was sure that he could sneak some into Yagyuu’s shoes before St Nicholas Day.
"It is, isn't it? I love this season. And look!" she pointed at a nearby window that had a little more than pretty decorations post on the window. "Holiday sale!" she cheered, tugging his hand with glee as well. It had been a long time since she had gone out shopping like this. Sure she went with Sakuno sometimes but the only person she could really get excited with in the past was her mother. Of course after her brothers were born she wasn't so lucky to go out shopping just the two of them so she missed those days. Not that she disliked her brothers, it was fun to take them shopping sometimes too; just not for girly things.
Having always been treated as a girl when younger, Liliadent knew how she felt. He had always enjoyed those leisurely shopping days with his mother. He wondered if this was what it was like to have a little sister… though they were the same age. He let her pull him in and immediately went to the winter clothing section and picked up a soft fluffy pink scarf. “Tomo. Looking at this. It is suiting you muchly, yes? Pink is very much your color,” He wrapped it around her neck and grinned. “Is very pretty on you.” He meant every word.
"Why thank you~" she couldn't help but blush a little; though it was mostly from the added heat of another scarf being wrapped around her. She smiled at him and spotted the cutest white gloves and wandered over to them. The girl was pleasantly surprised when she found some that were just the right size and slipped them onto Lili's hands carefully. "And these would match you perfectly." Of course anything seemed to suit him perfectly but more than be jealous about it Tomoka enjoyed all the fun possibilities of dressing him up.
He examined his long fingers in those white gloves. They did fit him and he could still wear them as a boy. She had a good eye for fashion. He was glad he had gone out with her. He decided that they would have to do it again, more often. Even if all they did was window shop. Though a part of him wondered if it would be okay if one day he went as Liliadent instead. “Then I will get this then and that for you…We can not have you being cold, yes?” As a vampire, and being from Germany, Liliadent was actually pretty used to the chilly weather. “And then we can go and ask where we can be finding good trees for to plant for Christmas.” He hadn’t even considered that the dean might not let them. He didn’t care. He was going to make sure this school had a proper Christmas tree.
"Eh? You don't have to do something like that. We were just window shopping, it's fine~" Tomoka insisted. Of course she would love to have the scarf but she didn't want him to go out of his way for her. No doubt the boy had enough time getting money for a double wardrobe. "I'm warm enough with my scarf anyway, see?" she smiled and twirled around to make her point.
Blue eyes followed her movement and he frowned. It came off as more of an adorable girly pout. He had money. Lots of it. He wasn’t a Pure Blood, but is family was reasonably wealthy for a commoner. And if he still had that aristocratic vampire interested in him…. or well… Lili, he might become one through marrage, maybe. It was hard to say now that he was in Japan. “All right, Tomo. If you are insisting. But I will for your present at Christmas time.” It was his final word on the subject. He would give his friend a pretty and fashionable gift somehow. If not a scarf, then a new dress to wear at home for all her parties with friends. He peeled the gloves off and continued to browse the shelves with her.
“We will need to be looking for tree decorations as well. In Germany we are using candles and ribbons. I am not thinking that safe here with no one for to keep an eye on it all the time. Maybe…would it not be nice if we were to get everyone for to me making an ornament. Day and Night classes both? We could all have our own special one on the tree and then every time a new student comes, they could make one too…and every year, more and more can be added.” It was only because he had high hopes for this place to continue. He might not have been there long, but he already loved the academy.
"I think that's a lovely idea, Lili~" she grabbed his hand and tugged it a little. "We should get searching for that tree so we get the best and biggest one then." the pigtailed girl smiled. She could see his brilliant eyes light up whenever he talked about Christmas or working together with everyone. It was adorable and she didn't want to see him pout anymore for the day so it was probably best to get going. Though she wasn't too positive they'd find one in town. Japan was mostly about compact things after all and most people got small fake trees. But maybe if they went to the right place... "There's a shop nearby that helps the gardening club, maybe they know of a good place to get one." She tugged at his hand gently again to lead him to the store.
He would have clapped his hands together in a bout of girlish glee had not one of them been firmly in Tomoka’s. He was glad he had someone else on board with this idea. And when everyone else went home and he was stuck at school, he could look at the tree and remember all the friends that would be coming back. He just hoped there would be one. Because honestly, he knew more about the smallness. He’d had to duck a few times already on excursions to town, especially if he was wearing his heels. “They always sell pretty flowers to you, yes? Then I am wanting to see it. It is sad I came so late and did not get to seem them. I am wishing they would be letting Night classes be in clubs too like that.” He would love to plant some roses in spring.
"Ara, didn't you know that you can join any club you want Lili?" she glanced back at him to explain but kept leading him along to the store. "We have a few Night Class members already in the club, you're more than welcome to join. It'd be fun to have you with us~" Sure there wasn't too much work to do until spring but that didn't mean he couldn't be a member.
“Nein….I mean no…No I did not know of this. This is a good thing then. I am hoping I am allowed to be joining so late. This can be my staring club project, yes?” And a fitting one. A huge tall tree that would look good with or without the pretty things on it. “I might be needing help for to be filling out the necessary paperwork for to join, yes?” He hoped she would. He could read some and he could write some, but when it came down to it, he was well aware he was at a very very elementary school level. Probably even lower.
"Of course you're allowed, and there's no paperwork involved really. That's mostly for the club officers to work on. You worry too much, hehe~" she giggled, squeezing his hand a little for reassurance. "Everyone will be more than happy to have you around once we find this tree too." Tomoka lightly tugged him along a bit faster as they finally arrived at the shop. She let go of his hand so he could explore while she talked to the workers and manager about how to solve their problem. "You look around, I'll go ask about the tree~"
He let her away from him so that he could look around. The greenhouse was nice and warm. It felt lovely. He smiled a little more as he walked around. No roses this time of year but the poinsettias were nice. They were a pretty red, like blood. He shook his head of that thought. He had grown up on blood pills. The mere thought of biting a human made him feel a bit…queasy. He sighed softly to himself and continued to look. Maybe he could buy these and make wreathes out of them. Or the mistletoe… .though that was dangerous stuff. Especially for pretty girls like Tomo.
Tomoka wasn't surprised when most of the workers said the best they could suggest was the department store for a small fake one. That was just the way it was, but she had hoped that since the school was out of the way there would be some special place to find it. That was when the manager stepped in and gave her a piece of paper with a name, phone number, and some simple directions. Apparently there was a place by the mountain side that had some for sale, but normally for a hefty price to their memory. At least it was a start, maybe they could haggle or something. "Lili~" she chimed, returning to him with the news. "The manager said there was a place that might sell us one. But it's far away I'm afraid... at least too far to get to without me breaking curfew, hehe~" she laughed lightly as it wasn't much of a big deal since she did it all the time but wasn't too sure about this kind of venture. "Maybe if we ask the principal we can figure something out in time."
He returned to her side and looked at the scrawled words. He tilted his head to one side and then the other and then pouted again. He wished he could read that better. He could go without her that night and get it as a surprise for her in the morning. But it wouldn’t be as much fun to pick one out all by himself. “Ah…This is too bad, yes? Maybe we can ask, and if he is saying yes, we can go and get it in a weekend when the curfew is being longer.” Because he really did want to pick this out with a friend. “So when we get back, we go right to Herr Echizen and we ask him, yes?” Right away, meaning Liliadent would be facing the ex-hunter in a cute girly Santa dress. Not that he hadn’t faced far scarier pure bloods in even frillier things.
"That's probably the best idea then. Shall we head back together now then or did you want to look around more?" she smiled, folding the paper and putting it safely in her pocket so she wouldn't forget. She did hope the principal agreed to it, not that he wasn't very agreeable for the most part. (Maybe he wouldn't be if he knew half of what she was up to all the time.) But she wanted to give Liliadent something more to look forward to as he had been so excited. It would be nice to go pick out the tree with the boy too, another outing with him was always a pleasant thought.
He nodded and then went with a pot the poinsettias. White. He thought white was the prettiest of the group. “I am just to be getting these for to have.” He went to the counter and bought them before heading back, holding his pot of pretty white flowers. “You know, Tomo. In the language of the flowers, Poinsettia is meaning be of good cheer. But the white ones also mean purity of heart.” He smiled at her a little and held the pot close. “I think I will plant these too, to keep the tree company.” Just like Tomo kept him company today.
Tomoka couldn't help another blush escape her and had to restrain herself from hugging the boy or else he'd probably drop the pot. He was just so darn cute she could hardly take it sometimes. "That's a lovely idea, Lili. I'm sure everyone will love it and all you're doing for the school and for the club." she smiled sweetly and admired the flower for a moment before they were on their way again.
