Yesterday, the maternal unit summarized for me an article she found online about an American professor who guest lectured at a school in China. At the end, he asked questions, and the kids knew all the answers. The one thing that I really hate and want to cry about in the new piece I'm playing (Wieniawski's 2nd Violin Concerto in D minor) is this part near the bottom of the first page, where I play in octave doublestops with alternating 1-3 and 2-4 fingerings. I finished watching it today and discovered something else funny in addition to the fact that the lead guy is played by Tatsuya Fujiwara, who was Light in the live action Death Note movies.
