Homeless...not yet!

Finding a barn that has decent rates and available stalls is like finding a needle in a haystack. I have to drive a zillion miles away to be able to afford a posh barn. A lot of places don't want jumpers to board in their pleasure horse barns. Sigh. There are a few prospects around. I will make my decision by next weekend. I have 2 or 3 more ( Read more... )

Good luck! Horses are so hard. Where else have you been considering?

There is Winter Pond and I am going to look at a couple around Bridle Trails. Homestead was not bad, but a really far place to drive to everyday. I just want somewhere with good turn out with solid fencing for most of the day and a safe stall at night. I need full care. Preferably, I would like an indoor arena. It rains so much of the time in the winter here.

I've heard good things about Suzy Moery, who I believe is the owner at Winter Ponds. Can't say I know anything about the barn, though.
Being near Bridle Trails would be nice, especially if you ever like to trail ride. KGF is nice, but I suspect pretty spendy, and it's been awhile since I've been there, I can't remember what the turnout was like. They have any amazing German dressage instructor there. (You do eventing, right? I think she may also do jumping some.)
Have you checked Topline equestrian? I remember it was on my list to check out at one point. It's in Woodinville.
Anyways, I hope you find a great place, with an indoor arena. Let me know how the hunt goes.

Oh, that is great that you know of her.
I cannot afford KGF and you have to be in training to board there. Topline was an option. They were not what I was looking for. Thanks for the suggestions. I am looking at a place on Tuesday that sounds great. I will have 3 barns to choose from then and hopefully will be making a decision next weekend.
