That's such great news. Thanks for the video clip.
I'm glad to hear that things are going well with you and Onyx. New barn still working out OK?

Things are much better at the new barn. The people are great. We are just getting everything set (blankets, feed schedules, etc.). Onyx is a little bit of a high maintenance horse. I still wish I could bag my own feed. I am really picky about using a scale, making sure the supplements are right, etc. It is silly but I am really used to taking care of eventers. It is a little different at other types of barns.
Hope you are still doing horses!

What do you mean you wish you could bag your own feed? Is that not an option where you are? That was one of the things I loved when I was leasing, weighing feed and adding supplements, etc.

And, at the moment I am horseless, but of course looking. I've taken advantage of an acquaintances offer to ride her horse, and enjoyed that. I have two opportunities I'm following up on right now. I had a chance for a working student position, it sounded perfect, but I couldn't make it work because I couldn't get every Sunday off of my job that actually pays the mortgage. Something will come up. In the meantime, I've been doing a lot of horsey reading and think I will audit a clinic with Thomas Ritter in a few weeks. Should be interesting.

Did you go to the party in your barn clothes? A friend of mine lost track of time at the barn once and ended up giving a presentation in her college class in her barn clothes, including tall boots, because she was going to be late otherwise.

I bag all of my supplements, but not the actual grain. They feed by the coffee can method. I have always been one to feed weight over volume. But I know that 1 can of Strategy is about what I weighed out for her.
Crossing my fingers that you will find a great horse job. Have fun at the clinic. Some of the time I find I learn more by watching at clinics than riding.
I ended up not going to the barn because my hair appointment took longer than expected. I am, however, known to show up at the bar in my riding gear.
