Day 08 - The best opening/closing credits

I have spent all morning watching title sequences, because nothing really jumped out at me. I initially thought of Fight Club, and it still holds up, but it was better in my head. The Bond movies have had some great sequences, but I don't think they'd be my favorite. The Final Destination has awesome closing credits, but the movie kind of sucked, ( Read more... )

Catch Me If You Can was one of the first to pop into my mind, although Pixar also does that style and possible better (see The Incredibles and Monsters Inc). Love the opening to Thank You For Smoking (awesome film), but I'd say the absolute best remains Delicatessan (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VtbTe52lmlc). Still blows my mind.

You have got to bump that up to the top! As I was posting the video I was thinking how that movie might just take over your "favorite foreign film" spot. Jeunet et Caro's second flick, The City of Lost Children, should also be in your queue.

I gave that one an honorable mention. ;) Definitely very cool, and I love the movie--man, Jason Reitman's been knocking them out of the part lately.
