What is a Wendingo and how does it involve my future ex-husband Guy Pearce?

The Wendigo is sort of part of some native lure. It's kind of like a spirit or demon that can take over you if you've eaten human flesh, causing you crave it an and become rabid and pscyhotic for more flesh.

Guy's a soldier during the Mexican-American war and gets "promoted" to this crazy post full of weirdos, and soon meets Robert Carlyle who shows up telling stories of cannibalism...

It's a kind of ridiculously amusing horror movie. I love it.
