On the twelfth day of Christmas, my toddler gave to me
Twelve minutes’ peace,
Eleven wadded kleenex,
Ten sticky fingers,
Nine pints of drool,
an Eight tooth-ed smile,
Seven good wipeouts,
Six hearty burps,
Five, heart-felt shrieks.
Four poopy diapers,
Three slobbery kisses,
Two fists of cat fur,
And an ornament she took off of the tree.
