What an amazing book

I've just finished Arthur Golden's Memoirs of a Geisha.  Wow.

I started this book last weekend.  All week I've been eager for the end of each workday so I could read more on the subway . . . and I've stayed up past my bedtime reading it several nights . . . and I couldn't wait to finish it this morning.

Oh, I felt the same way about the book when I read it a few years ago. I wondered how I had avoided reading it for so long.

I've never read the book, though I have always meant to. There are some very tasty men in the movie, and some nice scenery and cinematography, however.

(Ever read Pavilion of Women? Lovely book, never saw the movie 'cause I heard it was bad.)
