Sheifa couldn't stand being cooped up in her room for so long. Something was happening outside, and that was where she felt she needed to be. And so she marched out into the open, searching, hunting. Hunting for the Entropi, for the fallen Keepers, for whatever it was that had rained upon their backyard.

She spotted Faye nearby, and she immediately slipped behind the building's wall to remain undetected. The other woman seemed to have found something, and soon, enough, she was talking to it, and quite loudly, in fact. The redhead didn't move, but kept her eyes and ears on Faye; it wasn't very difficult to do, considering how she'd been trained as an assassin, although the urges this time were different, because she'd lost that part of her and acquired someone else's hunting prowess.

Either she's brave, or just stupid, she thought to herself, not knowing what to think about Faye. She'd hidden herself in a hole when the whole crisis started, and now she was trying to talk to what Sheifa deduced to be an Entropi. Keeper, rouge Entropi ( ... )

Continuing to watch the Entropi curiously, but not attempting to read its thoughts again (she could make some amount of sense from it, but the static made her head feel funny), Faye caught a fragment of thought without meaning to, as sometimes happened: ...brave, or just stupid.... She frowned and looked affronted, turning around partway and announcing, "It's brave, by the way, or if you absolutely must, reckless."

Not seeing anyone, Faye glanced back to the Entropi, sidled away from it an extra step, then turned away again. "...Hello?" she called, frowning a little deeper, her hand settling around the gun in her pocket.

Sitting huddled in a tree branch, Atem frowned as she watched Faye approach one of the crippled Entropi, ears laying back against her head a bit. What the hell is she doing?, the female pharaoh wondered irritably. Actually, what's going on with any of us? This shit better fix itself soon! Before those bastards decide to stop playing dead and have us all for breakfast!

A pang shot through her at the thought. To lose any of her friends or adopted family would be beyond painful, but to lose Jing ... Damnit! Now is not the time for being sentimental, woman! she scolded herself.

By chance, or perhaps because Atem was projecting loudly, Faye caught the tail end of her thought. She frowned, glancing around. "Who's being sentimental?" she demanded, confusedly thinking the thought was referring to her.

She frowned more deeply when she saw no one. Glancing sidelong at the Entropi, Faye edged away from the creature a little before taking a more careful look at her surroundings. "...Hello?" she called, her hand settling warily around her Glock.

Atem blinked, almost falling out of her tree. How on earth did she hear that?

Faye's lips twitched, then broadened into a full-on smirk. "Because you're thinking so God-damn loud, that's how," she replied to the unspoken question. Faye shifted her weight to a stance that appeared casual. "Come on out, I know you're there."
