[Concussions are not something to take lightly, so Phoenix has been resting the past few days. The air cast he had saved from when he'd broken his hand has proven useful again, saving him the need to visit AMU to get his fractured arm bound. He owes Damas a great deal as well. Once again the man had assisted him when he had needed it, treating him ( Read more... )

[Anna just so happens to be on the luggage deck when he chances by. She's half buried in suitcases that are opened and clothing a bit strewn about - sometimes ot's a bit hard to find your size, and when you go through clothing like Anna does...

Well. One needs to stock up.

She's gently nudging a suitcase out of her way with one hand while burrowing into another. Does she push it in his path and trip him? Who knows!]

[Close, but not quite! Phoenix had not seen Anna, but he saw the luggage move just as it shifted into his path. With a startled oath, he barely manages not to stumble.

Then he looks over.]

Anna?

[As soon as she hears him speak, she hastily jerks it back. Anna, on the other hand - doesn't manage not to sprawl. She lands in a heap amongst a pile of clothes she'd so carefully folded.

...Damn.]

Ah, lo siento- I am so sorry! Are you alright?

[Mindful of his fractured arm, Phoenix kneels and offers a hand.]

I'm fine. But I am not the one who fell. What about you, Anna? Are you unhurt?

*Marco is at the buffet, idly picking out things to put on a plate without paying much attention to what they are. Food is food, really.*

[Phoenix would not mind some company right now. In fact, human interaction after being isolated this long is definitely very appealing. So when he sees Marco at the buffet, he doesn't hesitate to approach the other man.]

Hello, Marco.

*Marco looks up from his plate and gives Phoenix a smile.*

Hey. You alright? You made a weird post not long ago.

Did I?

[A flicker of confusion crosses his face. He wasn't exactly conscious when he made that post. He picks up a plate with his left hand, his right arm still bound in the cast.]

I ran into some trouble a few days ago, but I don't recall making any posts.

[Attika has forced herself out of her room to get something to eat, despite the fact that she's still horrified by her new black eyes, and is convinced anyone who sees her will be, too. In the end, though, the need for food won out over the lingering shock, so here she is, Phoenix, poking at mashed potatoes.

She's just finishing up when she notices Phoenix. Quite sane, now that the "timer" on her Infection has been reset by not one, but two deaths, her instinct to run isn't nearly so strong.

...That, and she recognizes him. From both encounters. Oh dear.

She'll just hesitate for a moment more before approaching him to apologize for...well. Trying to kill him.]

...Excuse me....

[Crap. She doesn't know his name.]

[Phoenix turns, a plate in hand and an eyebrow lifted in question. When he sees who it is, though, he immediately stiffens.]

You!

[Quickly he takes a step back, preparing a defensive stance.]

[Take a second look, Phoenix! She is even less threatening than usual, being unarmed, with her hands fisted in her skirt. The poor woman looks distraught (and not only because her eyes went all weird on her).]

I'm so sorry!

[The distress and the apology catch him somewhat by surprise, but not enough for him to lower his guard. He's still eyeing her suspiciously and keeping his distance.]

Oh? What brought this change of heart?

[Lily hasn't been on the network in days. She hasn't posted, read any entries, commented - she's got no idea what's been happening. Lily likes it that way, to be honest. Boat drama would only make things worse. She just wants to mourn in peace and train, train, train.

Sometimes, she needs a break. "Break" means she grabs some incense and trudges off to the temple on Deck 13. She prays. She meditates. Lily does her best to clear her little 12-year-old mind.

So there Lily is, wading through the flowers.

HAVE AT HER, FEENIE.]

[Part of the appeal of deck thirteen is the openness of the field. It allows Phoenix to see who might be coming and going in his general vicinity, so he easily spots Lily in the flowers. He lifts his good hand to catch her attention.]

Lily!

[Shit, it's Phoenix. Most of the people Lily's seen in the halls aren't very close to her, so there was no danger of talking, but here's Phoenix, who is close to her.

She's not ready for conversation. She's not ready for conversation. She's not ready for conversation.

Lily looks to Phoenix, but doesn't stop walking.]

Hey.

[Phoenix notices this, Lily. It catches his attention more than stopping would have. He frowns slightly.]

Where are you off to in such a hurry?
