Do you honestly think it's only coming from one side? Both of them are doing that and making ads out of lies or half truths. It's no different than the last election and the one before it and so on and so forth. It's politics and most politicians are scum and will do anything to get elected.

Maybe I'm just cynical about politics, but it's not surprising to me anymore.

Some countries, I know Germany for fact (and I'm pretty sure Japan too), do not let political ads air on TV. I think that's a great thing. TV ads used to be the main way to smear some one and by the time the ad was yanked off for inaccuracy, the damage was already inflicted.

Though these days, with emails, blogs and the internet in general, it probably wouldn't matter if they did ban them at this point.
