I can't figure out if transfering is a sign of weakness or what. I feel like I didnt try hard enough to adapt, but on the other hand, why would i want to conform to what I'm with, especially when I ddont like it? Maybe I haven't given it enough of a chance. i mean i'm finishing the year, definetly, but maybe that isn't enough ( Read more... )

If transferring is a sign of weakness, then you're in good company. I assume, knowing you, that you actually have an idea where you're transferring to, unlike some other people coughmecough ;-) Good luck with the rest of the semester!

haha darling...if transferring is a sign of weakness then i am FAR weaker than anyone else!
i mean.. i am transferring next semester, am i not?
i think we're just finally at the stage in our lives that we can have our own control. we couldn't trade high schools (not really) and it seems as though we struggled to remain happy throughout those 4 hellish years at DHS..only to discover we were NEVER truly happy there. La, if you don't like Salve, then pack up and leave. Do what's going to make YOU happy. WHO CARES what people say about it. Be like Nike and JUST DO IT.
i love you!

Yes, I sound bias, because I love you and having you leave would be rather sad for me, but I do think you should give Salve a bit of a chance. There are people there that really care about you and have admirable qualities. You came here hating it, wanting to hate it, and so that's how it is. But I can also understand what you're saying, if you're not happy then you shouldn't feel as though you have to stay. But while you're here, since you're here, make the most of it. Learn more about people and assume less. That's the only way things are going to work out at all. If you try to judge less, open your mind more, then you'll at least be a little happier. And having people on campus that you like helps to make things less miserable. I know I don't know everything, and if the classes suck or aren't geared toward your major, or you don't feel challenged, then you have every right to leave, and I want you to. Even if you leave next year, make the most of this year. Give the people and the atmosphere some credit. Plus, if you really hate it ( ... )

You're just being decisive. Kudos to you on that. Time spent where you can't enjoy yourself is not where you will be at your best.
