Poems before I go off to work! Gives you all something to do during the day. :)

“Iris”

There is a place where all sorrow dissipates
Into the rainbow-streaked sky
This is where our dreams met
And converged to make one visionary masterpiece
All my worries: not being good enough to carry through
Disappeared when I grasped your hand
And you pulled me up into the delightfully spicy solar system that encircled us
Suddenly I had no need for inner burdens
And I cast them out
Like a red scarf floating out upon the wind,
Only to sink 10,000 leagues into the ocean
How lovely life is
When you discard the I.O.Us
And say adieu to those needy people
With greasy hands
Who merely pined for a hint of your ethereal nature
Here in this delightfully spicy solar system
I wave to my sorrow as it dissipates
Into the rainbow-streaked sky
