I went to see Hunger Games last weekend!  It was good.  Not perfect, but I recommend it.  I look forward to seeing how they develop the next couple of books.

It must have been difficult to translate a first-person book to screen. I re-read before the movie and after, it was SO much in her thoughts, as you said.

I wish the next one wasn't so far away :)

Exactly. To all of it. The books were very much the story of Katniss's journey through a changing nation. The first movie feels more like the (beginning of the) journey of a nation as seen through the eyes of one person who happened to find herself at the center of that upheaval. It's a subtle difference, but I think for me it's going to be an important one to accept in order to fully appreciate the movies.

I always thought Peeta was kinda boring in the first book. It wasnt until the second one he became interesting to me. I think that there was so much it was hard to convey because of the way the books where written. For a book to movie translation they did very well. Hopefully they keep it up for the next 2 books.
