Front door. Doug ripped the screen door totally off the house even after my mom spent forever fixing it for me. Grr.
Just inside. To the right is the "front room" i'm basically standing in the living room/hallway area.
The bookcase. I LOATHE knickknacks, but people keep giving me this shit. So I figured, why not put them up finally?
doug would have never let me move this here. muhahah!
First part of front room from above, Old exersaucer I planned on giving a coworker, doug's old futon, doug's old tv, on a console TV cabinet that is empty now. This was supposed to be "my" tv/knitting/me time area. never did. Doug moved in and this place was knee high in crap.
He's gone, so is the mess. Hate the carpet tho, was all stained when we moved in
Opposite wall of the front room, seeing all the way to the back. Corran's new thomas tent, rocking chair, desk we got from old lawfirm job that my crafty/sewing/whatever junk is on. Old pcs from when we renovated the "geekroom" and didn't get put back. These are the ones I left out to combine and cull.
On the other wall opposite the sewing machine you'll find :
Cause i'm a little weird and need help. I'm slightly OCD, can ya tell?
Standing in the hallway/entry area. Actually a cool slanted vaulted ceiling or whatever.
Bookcases/dvd storage, toy storage, etc. Blue curtain is crap but had hoped to replace whole door with like between glass blind types before now. May have to relent soon.
Just to left is kitchen table (which I HATE in the livingroom, but it's round and won't really fit in kitchen area)
you can see part of the kitchen which is nice and open so I can watch kiddos. thats a plus :)
Das kitchen from livingroom area. Note the kid gate ;)
Mimsy is Corran's beta.
Other side of kitchen past all the kitcheny things. Washer and dryer, sans doors that doug ripped off the wall. cause, you know. I dunno.
To left is my baking/storage area.
Door leads to front room
The baking area. this is what happens when a pregnant nerd-girl nests. Ptouch labels. whoo!
between the two. I scrubbed this old thing for hours. Kid friendly toys on the bottom, cause thats what kids do :)
First door on the left in the hallway, hello builder's code 1980!
Seriously, needs help.
I fixed the toilet!
C's still having a few accidents with all the drama (he was dry for months and months before) so no real bedding. Grandma made him a new blankie cause doug stole the old one, and bought him spiderman sheets for his new big boy bed. This is the bed where I slept for a while (in the other room)
Other side of the room
Toys and table for arts and crafties.
Famous geekroom cum nursery. I moved quinns bed in while I was sleeping in here. so you have to disassemble to move out. So far, it's working out though.
All my books to the back, desk to right, and there is a small dresser with cute lamp for him
Last but not least, my room. Taken from my bathroom. door to hallway is in rt corner.
Dressers for me and quinn (more shan-build. Ikea furniture is like adult legos! they rule!)
Curtains my mommy made to block out the sun.
I don't really believe in daily bedmaking. Cause um....well, i'm lazy and nobody goes in my room but me ;)
Crap carpet needs to GO!
Annnndd....another 80s builder standard bathroom! huzzah!
it's tiny, but all the houses in our price range either had one small bathroom, or two tiny ones. I wanted two toilets because doug would set up camp for hours. and I drink a lot of water. so, two it was.
PHEAR! the duckies!
Dinner the other night. Quinn crashed early so Corran and I sat on the floor.
Obviously, thats Corrans. lol.
If you endured all that, you deserve a :
I can bake :)
I bake REAL well. lol.
There is a reason I weighed 180-190 in highschool.
These were FANTASTIC.
Still have a few left infact...
