... life is about to get complicated. Ashley and I had been doing tremendously well up until today. Unfortunately, neither of us will budge, so it looks like the custody agreement is all I can fall back on. I don't see how this will work out in her favor. Oh well...

Unforeseen events sometimes happen, like missing a pickup or drop-off because car wouldn't start, stuck late with emergency at work, etc.
They just shouldn't happen more often than not.

Your attorney has probably mentioned it, but just be sure to document everything with dates times and places for anything that doesn't go as expected, either for you or her, in case there is ever a question of habitual disregard for the custody order.

... I understand that shit happens. I've kept him extra nights that she's been sick. This is different. I don't foresee it getting better...
