As good as books...oh yes definitely. I think it is easier to hold than a book and just more comfortable to hold.
Another reason I have not bought any books lately is what to do with them after I read them? I could not just throw them out and I'm just too lazy to go to trade them in at a "used" book store. The kindle can hold 1,000s of novels in the memory, so no need to warry about what to do after I'm through reading the book.
