My not-so-baby-these-days just turned 11 months on Dec 21. Genuinely cannot believe how the time has gone.
And I totally hear you on Facebook making one lazy in their online interactions. It’s so easy to mindlessly scroll and just Like without anything more to it than that.
We have been extremely lucky (so far); I added the parenthetical, because I want to remember that luck is a kind of privilege, too (albeit one that can sometimes just disappear). Asta is healthy and happy and incredibly easy; no cholic, she usually sleeps through the night, and even her night terrors seem to evaporate like mist on a summer morning.
And my lord, but I adore her!

As for Facebook, another part of the problem, I think, is the fact that it is very easy to read on a phone, but not so easy to type (at least not for the sausage-fingered amongst us, such as myself).
And I already hear you on the time going by thing; Asta has literally almost doubled in size in four months! Are things well with you and yours? You hadn't posted in a while, last I checked.
P.S. It is a pretty fabulous cat blanket at that, now you mention it; I'm not even sure where we got it, though I rather suspect it came from one of my father's former roomers, who left a bunch of stuff behind when he returned to his
