Noo, you're not restricted to your major really...well, you can't double-major, but foundation year (or the foundation I took) is the same for Cartooning, Illustration, Fine Arts and Graphic Design so basically, you could change your major after the first year with virtually no problem. (Unless you want to do animation. D8 They're another world.) New York is expensive all around. But it's also AWESOME. 8D ...But yeah, really expensive.... ;A;

Mmm, the main reason why I ask is because I will probably be toying with the idea of becoming a sculpture major throughout my senior year.

Sculpture is part of the foundations course, so you would get to take a semester of it before actually deciding. 8D COME LIVE WITH MEEEE~ lolololol (no, it's okay if you don't ;^; )

But seriously, you won't even consider MICA? D: From my house to VA Beach, it's about a four hour drive, which isn't that much.
+There's the Acela Express that goes through DC, Baltimore, NYC and Providence (basically where all the colleges are) and there're Amtrak stops down to Newport News, so visiting your familia wouldn't be that big of a problem if you go out of state.

VCU's the only college I've really looked at in that state, so if you hear of some awesome bio-sciences school by the bay/ocean, I'm all for it, bb.
